The Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit is, at the same time, the spirit of God the Father and of God the Son who worked and will always work in the hearts of those who have been chosen by God for His own purposes. He takes hold of those people and enables them for His plans. WHAT DOES THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT MEAN? The baptism with the Holy Spirit is the totality of God inside us. Signifies power, strength, courage, intrepidity and an audacious way of living just like the Lord Jesus lived here on earth. When some one is baptized with the Holy Spirit, they receive immediately power to serve as instruments in Gods hands; and also to serve as witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, not only by means of talking about what is written in the word of God, but to be just like the Lord Jesus Himself: a living witness of some one who is alive. Without the baptism in the Holy Spirit it is impossible to become a witness of the biblical way of living, and as a consequence, without being a witness or a living testimony we cannot be Christians as the Lord desires for it is written: “Whoever claims to live in Him must walk like Jesus did” (1 John 2:6) HOW TO RECEIVE THE BAPTISM WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT To receive the baptism with the Holy Spirit, some steps need to be followed: a) No one can fill a cup of pure water while it is still dirty. The same way, nobody can receive the Holy Spirit while the body is occupied by any other spirit, demons, jealousy, enmity, anger or gossip, etc. b) Nobody can receive the Spirit of God while they keep grudges against another person. Before that they should forgive the ones who hurt them. c) No one can receive the Spirit of truth while the live in lies. The word of a Christian must be YES and NO. d) Nobody ca receive the Holy Spirit while their thoughts are engaged to the things of this world. e) The candidate to the baptism with the Holy Spirit should be aware of anything that accuses them before God; otherwise, he should confess out of his lips to the Lord and ask for forgiveness. f) The candidate must start worshiping the Lord Jesus with his mouth (not in his mind), expressing his feelings towards the Lord, that is, he loves Him, he adores Him; that Jesus is the most important Person in his life and he is ready to do His will in his life. g) Do not interrupt the worship to the Lord with requests of healing, deliverance or any other thing. h) It is very common in this particular moment, the person to feel itchy, or hear noises or something that will try to break their worship. These things happen because he is getting closer to being baptized with the Holy Spirit, and Satan will try to make this person deviate their attention, in order for them to lose this great blessing. The person should keep on praising with all their heart, all the more knowing that at that moment the Lord Jesus is inhaling their praise as a good perfume. The food of God is our praise. i) Suddenly they will feel happiness and it will increase gradually to the point of having an inexplicable joy that can be felt even in their body; then the way of speaking will be very different. They will not understand anything even so, they will keep on talking strangely and will feel like not stopping anymore. Then they will be baptized and sealed with the Holy Spirit. There is no reason to fear! The Lord Jesus Himself said that is the son asks the father for bread, he will not receive a stone (Luke 11:9-13). In the same way, if we, children of God, ask the Holy Spirit, He will never allow us to receive any other spirit.
