The Hydraulic Canal was a rich part of Niagara Falls History. I - TopicsExpress

The Hydraulic Canal was a rich part of Niagara Falls History. I drew water from Port Day on the upper Niagara River and ran through the city to the Niagara Gorge. There it was used to generate mechanical and electrical energy for various industries in what was commonly known as the Mill District. A replica of this canal and the forebay much the same as Canalside with reflective pools in the summer and ice skating in the winter, would not only help to relate its history--but would be a cornerstone for the Cultural District We could do this. We SHOULD do this!!!
