Kevin Pieterson was the first captain that resigned from the captaincy of England after India gave England a crushing defeat by 5-0 in the on-day series. Then India went on defeat the Englishmen in the Test Series as well by 2-0. The following crushing defeats that India gave to England was under the captaincy of MS Dhoni. This also made England Captain Kevin Pieterson to resign from his captaincy few weeks later. Shoaib Malik was the second on the list as India defeated Pakistan in the one-day series by 3-2 in 2008. Few months later, Shoaib Malik resinged from the captaincy of Pakistan following the defeat by Dhoni’s young brigade. The third in the list is Ricky Ponting, who made Australia won two world cups, first in 2003 and second in 2007. Ricky Ponting resigned from the captaincy of Australia after India knocked out Australia in quarter-final match of 2011 Cricket World Cup and shattered their dreams of retaining the crown of World Champions. He is the third captain who resigned after following the defeat from MS Dhoni’s brigade. The fourth and final in the list is Kumar Sangakara, who resigned after following the defeat from MS Dhoni’s team in the finals of 2011 Cricket World Cup. India defeated Kumar Sangakara’s Srilankan team by 6 wickets in the final with Captain MS Dhoni scoring unbeaten 91 runs. Kumar Sangakara resigned from his captaincy following this defeat....
