The International Trade Commission (ITC) voted unanimously yesterday that rebar imported from Turkey and Mexico has harmed the U.S. steel industry – a vote that leads to imposing antidumping duties on Mexican rebar and countervailing duties on imports from Turkey. Last month, other members of the Steel Caucus joined me in a letter to the ITC highlighting the great importance of this investigation to the domestic steel industry and its workers, and I am so pleased to see the ITC heed our call.
