The Jaipur Cantonment is a very large area and very beautifully laid out ... Often, Husband and self would cycle down to the vegetable market, the pool etc ... and like wise , so did some Officers and ladies .... Besides a good workout, it would be a great way to also tour and do recee around the area .... One fine day, Husband and self decided to do some basic shopping at the CSD canteen , located inside the Cantt.... NOW, the approach to the CSD was marked by a steep downhill slope and cycling down the slope was great fun ! WHEEEEE , we would all go !!! But the climb uphill, on return , would also be quite an effort .. But we didnt mind..... We WHEEEED down all the way to the CSD and reached the CSD and parked our cycles in the parking stand ... NOW husbands surname begins with a G , and hence, he had marked his cycles rear end with the initial G accordingly , and mine , a Ladies cycle, was marked A.... After we finished shopping, we went to the cycle stand and took out our cycles and began the climb uphill.... We saw our neighbours Buddy , Gurdayal Bhaiyya, walking steadily behind us ... So Husband asked -- --arrey Gurdayal, aap theek hain , family theek hai, bachchey theek hai ??? Gurdayal Bhaiyya, smiling said -- SAB ok hai saahab .. OK we smiled and carried on .... BUT BHAIYYA STILL FOLLOWING US STEADILY !!!! .. Again, we enquired warmly -- aur sab theek thaak hai ..??? Gurdayala Bhaiyya again smiled and siad --JI Sahab, sab theek hai ..?? --STILL KEPT FOLLOWING US ... now we began to wonder why ...... When he had followed us almost half the distance, then Husband asked Gurdayal Bhaiyya -- KYA HUA Gurdayal ..?? koi baat hai kya ..??? Gurdayal Bhaiya replied, still smiling -- SAHAAB , AAPNEY MERA CYCLE LIYA HAI ..!!!! We were taken aback !!! Gurdayal Bhaiyyas cycle was the exact same model . ALSO marked - -- G !!!! WE had , by sheer mistake taken his cycle and were walking away, blissfully unaware , that Bhaiyyas cycle was with us !!!!! We apologised sincerely and Bhaiyya just smiled and said in good cheer --KOI GAL NAA SAAHAB ... mistake ho jata hai !!!! Later, Bhaiyya and husband had a good laugh !!!!! PS -- Whenever i remember Gurdayal Bhaiyyas face - a wonderful blend of confusion, surprise and amusement, i still get embarassed and cant help laughing too !!!!!!
