The Janie Tilford Fairy Godmother Fund provides grants to people - TopicsExpress

The Janie Tilford Fairy Godmother Fund provides grants to people who find themselves in the unfortunate positions of needing to get costly emergency medical treatment for a four legged member (often a rescued animal) of their family. It is the mission of Paws in the City to keep these families intact. We are able to offer this help only because of the generous support of our donors. If you want to help too visit our website pawsinthecity.org. Kitty Cat & Little One were the loving companions of a Vietnam Veteran living on disability. Both cats had severe open infected wounds. He did not have the ability to even transport them to the vet. One of Paws in the City volunteers retrieved the cats. The wonderful vets and staff at Buckner Terrace Animal Clinic treated them and cared for them for a week. Kitty Cat, an indoor cat, was returned to her home but not Little One, the outdoor cat. It was determined that Little One’s living conditions were not acceptable and the gentleman was not able to care for both cats. The same volunteer who transported the cats and prepared the house for Kitty Cat’s return adopted Little One. All are doing well now.
