The Kenyans have a saying: When elephants fight, it is the grass that suffers. Buzz around the Book today shows that tensions are still running pretty tight over fall crown. I was not at Crown and cannot speak with authority about what happened there. I am no one of particular significance in the Society and I am not privy to the workings of my betters. I would also never begrudge anyone the actions they feel they need to take during spring crown. It is my hope, however, that the community remembers that the East Kingdom is more than just the hat. There will be talented and generous people recognized for their efforts in the next reign from AoAs to Peerages and by abstaining for 6 months, it might lessen the experience of these deserving people. That seems like such a shame to me and I hope that those folks who are considering a step back will have a change of heart and find something worth fighting for.
