The Key to understanding the rapture of the church (harpazo) is The Last Trump. During the Feast of Trumpets also known as Yowm Teruah which means day of trumpets, a series of FOUR trumpet blasts are sounded. The last trump which Paul makes reference to in 1 Corinthians 15:52 is the 4th trumpet blast which represents the last of 100 trumpet blasts seen in the image below. That blast is also known as the Tekiah Gedolah. Revelation 8 speaks about the trumpets of judgment and is often confused for the feast of trumpets. Those trumpet blast have nothing to do with Yowm Teruah.
