The Last Bell for Supper, There is nothing like enjoying a satisfying meal surrounded by good company. Last night at the museum we, along with one hundred and forty odd (no pun intended) other people enjoyed both. In the Egypt Room Dawn McLean held sway (pun intended) with her soft blends of music and song. When Dawn lays down a beat it is impossible not to follow. If the first two pictures were video you could see everyone is chewing in time to, Away in a Manager. Our borrowed talent did not stop with Dawn’s key board renderings. Lois’ dressing and gravy were, as usual, delicious. Brenda gave, if not her firstborn, at least a close second; her home grown turnips. The fudge favours were the handiwork of Linda. George and Audbur carved. The pies were donated by friends of the museum. Jerry, at Hillsborough Value Foods donated door prizes. Faye, Brian, Janet, Garda, Heather, Brent, Vaughn, Tammy, Angela, Grant, David, Taylor, Jacob, Destiny and Caleb worked together to make sure everything arrived where it was supposed to. The first sitting in the Confederation Room was presided over by Pastor Dean McDonald. As a result the language was with-in bounds, but, my-oh-my, the gossip was unbelievable. However, most of those present chose to believe it any way. The second sitting was in this room was an international group of high spirited hikers. Trying to find a calming influence we put the Wallace Sisters in the room with them, but that did no good at all. To us the evening had the feeling of a group of friends who meet only occasionally. So how about the same time next year, ah? Cousin Kathleen & Paul
