The Leaders of the so called Donetsk People’s Republic explain their intentions to the locals at a meeting. ‘If I see a woman at a café or a bar tomorrow, she will be arrested’, says the leader. ‘That’s right!’ the crowd agrees and applauds. ‘A woman should be a housekeeper and a mother. And what kind of mother can she be after visiting a bar? How can she raise a child, what kind of a role model can she be? All bars and clubs here are filled with women. Does this mean all our women are whores?’ ‘They all should be raped’ ‘Yes, it is a problem. If you want to stay honest and loyal to your husband, you should sit at home and embroider. That’s why, I repeat, we will order the patrol to arrest all the girls, who will go to bars and clubs.’ Some protests are heard from the women in the room. ‘I said all!’ the leader yells. ‘Then we’ll see what you say. You should stay at home and cook. You celebrate women’s day on the March 8th and that is all!’ Resentful murmur is heard in the room. ‘Oh, you don’t like it?’ the leader asks. ‘You should remember that you are Russians!
