The Lebanese identity-Byblos. This house has been the property of Mr. Osman Husami, a merchant very known in his time (early 19th century). This famous traditional Lebanese house is the only one which was kept in place after the expulsion by the French explorers of the owners of those houses. These houses were demolished in order to explore this whole archaeological area, since Byblos became in the late twentieth century among the most important and interesting archaeological sites world wide.
