The Lemont High School Music Department will present our Evening in December concerts on Friday, December 6th and Sunday, December 8th. In the holiday season spirit, we request that all attendees bring a dry or canned food for admission. These will be donated to the Lemont Food Pantry. Friday Night Prism Concert: 7:00 PM Offering both music written for the genre as well as a myriad of holiday selections, an array of ensembles - including percussion, vocal, brass, woodwind, and mixed instrument duets, trios, quartets, and quintets - present a continuous stream of performances, fusing the music of several ensembles into a continuous stream of sound. Special lighting effects add to the event, providing the audience with a sampling of the very best the LHS Music Department has to offer. Sunday Afternoon Full Ensemble Concert: 3:00 PM The Lemont High School music department will serve up a warm glass of holiday cheer with a concert featuring different levels of the school’s bands and choir. The LHS Choir, Concert Band, Symphonic Band will take the stage on Sunday, December 8, at 3 p.m. The show will take place in the school’s Performing Arts Center.Lemont High School’s concert bands are under the direction of Terry Redford and Matt Doherty, while Dave Nommensen leads the choir. All three ensembles will perform a variety of music, including many holiday favorites!
