The Liberty Police Department has received a ballistic vest for K-9 Capo thanks to a nation wide campaign from GROUPON GRASSROOTS. The GROUP provided ballistic vests for 163 law enforcement dogs in 30 states. The vest cost $950.00 and has a five year warranty. They are made in the USA exclusively from distributor Regency Police Supply in Hyannis, MA. There are an estimated 30,000 police dogs throughout the United States. The group who donated the vest is Vested Interest in K-9s a 501c (3) charity located in East Taunton, MA. Many thanks to this organization for helping to keep Officer Capo safe!!
