The Lincoln County Humane Society is incredibly grateful to all - TopicsExpress

The Lincoln County Humane Society is incredibly grateful to all the Good Samaritans who donate their time and energy in order to help lost animals find their way to a safe haven. That safe haven may be LCHS or may mean a reunion with the animal’s family. LCHS does retain records about lost pets for up to a month (and longer if the owner contacts us). We encourage owners to stop by LCHS frequently or call to keep the information current. We will also take info about pets that have been found and are being kept by the Good Samaritan until the owner can be located. We ask that anyone who has lost or found a pet, please contact LCHS immediately with any information and photos of the pet. For lost or found pets, we also recommend you contact the websites Lost Dogs of Wisconsin or Lost Cats of Wisconsin, as well as the local Sheriff’s Department 715-536-6272 in order to provide the pet with the best chance of making its way home. LCHS would also like to clarify our stance regarding hunting. LCHS is not anti-hunting nor do we receive funding from national organizations that are against hunting. And no LCHS funds go to support any other animal welfare organizations. All incoming funding is necessary for our operations and stays within Lincoln County. Like any responsible hunter, we also believe an animal being hunted for food should be given the fastest and most painless death possible. We also encourage the humane and responsible care for any dogs used in hunting. We encourage anyone with questions regarding our policies to contact our shelter manager. Please remember that an identification tag may be your pet’s only ticket home and therefore, your pet should always have a visible tag on its collar. We greatly appreciate your continued support of our humane society.
