The Little Things We see little things every day that remind us of our Lord Jesus. Whether it is a pretty sunset or a little miracle, thanksgiving should always be in our hearts and on our lips. This is one of those little miracles that makes you stop and scratch your head, “What are the chances of that happening?” With the Bride of Christ, those chances are usually pretty good. I was hurrying my children out the door to pick up my eldest from school, when I closed the door in haste. Almost immediately I realized my keys could have been left in the house. I rattled the doorknob but it was locked. I began to search my purse and pockets, however, they werent there. I searched again and again, remembering what brother Branham said about the knife. He said that if he really believed, it would be there in his pocket. I told the Lord that I didnt know if I had enough faith for that. It was freezing cold. We had been having very, very low freezing temperatures. I went to look for the spare key we keep outside. The spare key wasnt there. It had been used to get into the house in the days preceding and wasnt put back in its place. I went back to the front door. Whispering a prayer, I tried to slide a card into the lock. The card didnt work. We were so cold. My little ones are only 3 and 5 years old, and I felt sorry for them. I looked over at the neighbor’s house, wondering if we should knock on her door and ask her to stay there until my husband came home a few hours later, but then I thought of my son waiting for me at school. I said, Lets pray children. After we prayed I stood there thinking hard, trying to decide and not knowing what else to do. The jingle of keys broke my thoughts, and I looked down to see my little son flashing his tiny keychain flashlight into the lock. He had two keys attached to the lock and I joyously asked him if I could see them. I tried them in the front door and they didnt work. I ran to the back door feeling very optimistic. I tried it in the lock and it opened the door. We were so happy. I hugged my children and knelt down in the kitchen. I told them that even as we ask the Lord for things we need, we must always remember to give Him thanks when we receive the answer. We thanked and praised Him together. USA
