The Lord said to Cain Why are you so angry, why is your face downcast? if you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.Genesis 4:6-7 Cain didnt give a offering God approved of, and so he was not looked upon with favor. He didnt give the best that he could give. How many times has God asked us to give our life as an offering, to worship him with our whole life but instead, we do what we think is best and completely ignore his desires for our life. God told him sin is crouching at your door, the definition for crouching is to adopt a position where the knees are bent and the upper body is brought forward and down, sometimes to avoid detection! So Gods telling him, do what is right! do what I approve of! Sin is crouching at your door waiting to attack you and it desires to consume you! God says you must rule over it and take control. How many times has God gave you that warning? Are you ready to give the offering of obedience to the call on your life. Romans 2:6-8 He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.
