The Luo community where I belong must now rethink their (our) political stand. Raila Odinga is taking us nowhere. Despite being perhaps the most influential political figure in Africa, the guy has nothing to write home about. No single development project, especially in Luo Nyanza can be attributed to Raila Odinga. Everywhere a Luo goes, he is seen as the enemy of governmemt, courtesy of Raila Odinga, this is despite the fact that Odinga himself does multi billion business deals with the same government. Raila Odinga fought for multi party democracy, unfortunately his native Luo Nyanza has never known what multi party democracy is all about.......single party dictatorship reigns supreme in the name of Luo Unity; unity that only benefits the Odingas at the expense of the community. President Uhuru Kenyatta must ignore perennial noise makers and include Luo Nyanza in his development agenda.....a whole community cannot be condemned because of an individual. The Luo must also learn to embrace government and stop being obsessed with one man!
