The MLB Umpire Crew for Opening Day and their MLB Supervisor have generously agreed to set aside some time for a Q&A session with Australian umpires and others. The crew is manned by; • Larry Young, MLB Umpire Supervisor, 22 years in MLB • Tim Welke, Crew Chief, 29 years in MLB • Dale Scott, 28 years in MLB • Laz Diaz, 15 years in MLB • Mark Carlson, 15 years in MLB A crew with a wealth of experience which will make for an interesting and entertaining morning. The event will be held at the Mecure Hotel 818 George St Sydney, near Central Railway. Arrival at 930am for a 1000am start. It will be followed by a light luncheon to round up at noon. Unfortunately we do have to charge a fee to cover costs with any surplus going to the UDP budget. The cost per ticket is $69.00. There is a minimum ticket sale required for the event to proceed as well as a maximum seating limit at the venue. This email is being sent to give the umpiring fraternity the opportunity to purchase tickets before the event is announced and opened to the general public on Thursday afternoon.
