The Maine Warden Service is currently investigating three separate illegal moose kills. All three of these moose were shot and left during the third week of the Maine moose season in Wildlife Management District (WMD) 3. [1st Moose – Monday, November 3, 2014] The first small bull moose was killed on the Sullivan Road in T16 R5 approximately 1 mile east of Route 161. A male and a female are believed to be involved and they were operating a red regular cab GMC or Chevy pickup with an eight-foot bed. [2nd Moose – Tuesday, November 4, 2014] Reported on November 4, 2014, this second moose is believed to have been killed Monday, November 3rd in the late afternoon. The moose was shot on the Stockholm Road off the Sullivan Road in Township T17 R3. [3rd Moose – Tuesday, November 2014] The third moose was shot in Hamlin off the Madore Road. This moose is believed to have been shot Tuesday November 4, 2014. The moose was shot near a rock pile in a large field.
