The Management of Osun State University, at its meeting held on 21st August, 2013, has reviewed the strike action declared by the NASU and NAAT members with effect from Thursday, 22nd August, 2013. The Management wishes to inform members of the Unions and the general public: (i) that the strike action has political undertone; (ii) that adequate notice was not given as stipulated by the Labour Law before the action was taken; (iii) that official activities were disrupted on Wednesday, 21st August, 2013 when staff were prevented from entering their various offices until 2:00 pm. (iv) that no work no pay rule will be enforced on any staff who refuses to be at his/ her duty post on Monday, 26th August, 2013 at 8:00 am; (v) that staff on contract appointment cannot join any Union or embark on strike action; (vi) that the positions of the striking members would soon be declared vacant; (vii) that observance of Daily Attendance Register is still in force at the Security Posts.
