The Martin Grammar School, Kakching has celebrated the Teachers Day 2014 in the premises of the school today. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. M. Haridas Singh (the President of the Managing Committee of MGS), the Guest of Honour, Mr. Ksh. Haridas Singh, (the Secreatary of the Managing COmmittee of MGS) and the President, Mr. Ksh Nopur SIngh(the Founder of the MGS). In a historic ceremony, the live telecast of the Prime Minister Narendra Modis speech was displayed and viewed by the students and staffs of the school. In addition to the presentation of gifts by the students to the teaching and the non-teaching staffs of the school, awards for the Best Teacher and the Best Non-teaching Staff were also conferred for the first time in the history of the school. The Award for the Best Teacher went to Sir Yengkhom Bormani Singh and Madam Yengkhom Sanahal Devi and the Award for the Best Non-teaching Staff went to Mr. Naorem Bimolchandra Singh (Ka Bonen). Each award carries a shawl, a certificate and a cash of Rs. 1000/-. In this pic, Sir Subhash Naorem is giving blessing to Miss M.
