The Maslowian theory of the self-Actualized person seems more like - TopicsExpress

The Maslowian theory of the self-Actualized person seems more like the Ibn Arabian and Jilian take on the Insan Al-Kamil but what Maslow did was to take God out of the discourse. Which only left him to construct an idealistic personality that have no constant and permanent bearing in this world of forms. Thus continuously been refuted, revised and reformulated to suit the whims of a secular monotonic civilization. This shows how much western psychology took from Islamic metaphysics and Sufi inspiration. Reminiscent of how Jung made use of the a`yan thabita (fixed prototypes) of Ibn Arabi to formulate the concept of the archetypes. The foundation of western thought owes a lot to the sacred metaphysical inspirations/openings of the glorious Muhammadan community of scholars and luminaries —it will be profane to refer to the teachings of masters like Ibn Arabi and Abd al-Karim Jili as thoughts, when they were no more than openings and illuminations from the Divine beyond. #ImmortalReflections
