The Mayor needs to consider that a bridge closure will potentially put our entire borough in jeopardy. Aside from the obvious traffic problems a closure would cause, there are major underlying safety and security risks posed as well. In a letter sent to his office yesterday, I urge him to weigh these potential risks and not grant the permits necessary to shut down the Verrazano Bridge.
