The Melbourne Guitar Makers Festival is this weekend! From Saturday the 26th to Sunday the 27th of October the Abbotsford Convent will be alive with sights and sounds of handmade guitars (and guitar lovers)! Here’s a summary of festival information: The Abbotsford Convent is at 1 St Heliers Street, Abbotsford VIC 3067. Tips on various ways to get there can be found at guitarmakers.au/?page_id=126 The exhibition opens at 10am on both days and runs until 6pm. Entrance to the festival is $20 ($10 concession) This covers entrance to the exhibition of guitars, all music during the day and access to the screenings of documentary ‘Song of the Kauri’ The classical concert on Saturday evening has a cover charge of $10. Screening will commence at 11am and 2pm. A series of three workshops will take place on Sunday the 27th in the Visitor’s Room. Attending one of these workshops will cost $45 per person.
