The Michigan City Wolves boys bowling team successfully defended their title at the Northwest Indiana Invitational tournament held Saturday. The tournament featured the top teams from across Northwest Indiana with a combined record of 56-7. The Wolves started slowly finishing last following the initial round of qualifying. However, during the baker format, they defeated Elkhart Central, Angola, and Highland to improve to third entering the championship round. They then defeated Lake Central 2-1 to go to the championship finals. They then beat Portage 191-160, 185-203, and 234- 167 to win the title. The tournament was played on a very challenging sport pattern.
