The Mid Hudson Career Consortium (MHCC) will be hosting a Careers in Public Service event on April 10, 2014, at the Henry A. Wallace Visitor and Education Center in Hyde Park, NY from 1:00-3:00p.m. This event is open to college students in the Mid-Hudson Valley who are interested in learning about careers in government and public service. The event will begin with a presentation from Dolores Garcia, a Recruitment Coordinator with the U.S. Department of Labor. Dolores will be speaking to students about applying for federal jobs and internships. She will share resume tips and insights regarding the federal application process and give an overview of the rating structure. The presentation will be followed by a panel of professionals and/or interns who work in the public service sector with a state or federal agency. Panelists will share their experiences with students and will respond to student inquiries during a question/answer period. Email Deidre Sepp for more information!
