The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies organizes the 8th National Conference on Open Source Software in Tunisia, November 12, 2013 in Hammamet, in parallel with the International Forum ICT4ALL2013. The forum is considered one of the largest annual gatherings of ICT community for development. This edition will deal with: “Open source: an engine for economic growth”, and will feature far more novelties, interactivity and knowledge sharing compared to previous editions. Two sessions are planned: the first will focus on "Economic Models and Success Stories", the second will focus on "Innovation in Open Source" (open hardware, mobile OS and trends, cryptography, etc...). An Exhibition space is also provided to partners, sponsors and communities. At the end of the day, there will be an awards ceremony for the 3rd edition of the Open Challenge of Open Source Software which deals with the theme of Open Source applications on mobile phones.
