The Modest Mouse show was everything I (literally) dreamed it would be and more. Before the show, I always found Mimicking Birds fairly underwhelming, but they played a mind-blowing, hypnotic set. Modest Mouse themselves were completely unbeatable. They opened with Cowboy Dan, presumably to get everyone moving and in high-energy. It worked Incredibly well And during the slower part, every serious Modest Mouse fan in the audience screamed the whole Every time you think youre walkin, youre just movin the ground part. They played several new songs, plenty from the Moon and Antarctica (3rd Planet was my personal favorite, but a fairly-small-but-still-very-intense mosh-pit started during Tiny Cities Made of Ashes. I was thrown around quite a bit), and even Broke. The only negative parts were the drunk guy in front of me that felt it necessary to dance very promiscuously despite clearly not knowing the songs and two guys very loudly complaining that they didnt even play Float On
