The Mullaism and the tribalism are the most rigid hurdles in our way forward. Mulla (religious cleric) and Malek (tribal chief) are opposed to establishing a democratic, advanced, literate and peaceful society. Why do they resist above mentioned social system? Answer is quite easy, at least to me. For example, will a professor go to Mulla for Taweez or will he like to be a bodyguard of Malek saib. Will an educated man follow Mulla and Malek blindly regarding his personal life. As far as I know religious clerics and tribal chiefs just want to maintain status quo so that their present social position may not be engangered. Maintaining status quo, they have divided Pashtun nation into various tribes and entangled it into tribal and religious conflicts. Therefore, all educated Pashtuns have responsibility to make their nation get rid of the menace of Mullas and Maleks. Note: Malek, Wadera, Sardar, Nawab, Mir etc. are the hierarchical positions of tribalism.
