The Muslims Who Fall Daily, We Hear Ya’, Allah (swc) Wants To Comfort Ya’ Being religious, were told it solves all, To live, 2 suffer, finding the meaning in the suffering, Being Muslim ain’t a game, not a land on go collect 200 dollar move, 2 steps forward, 3 times we fall down, Wounded soldiers, going to die trying, Everyday the Quran my soundtrack, decorating the interior of my cranium, Read the syllables, got a syllabus, reading between the lines, Crying game, check the window, raining, suicide note not this one, Caught in a game of cat and mouse, muse and artist, Trench falling, civil war riding, trail blazer, Dog got a sniff, follow me not, I never was a leader, Show me doubt, I can show you my palms, not psalms, I got no nails in these hands, I’m not a Christian, Bless me not, try 2 kill me not, escaped convict, escaped death, I heard let me fly, let me run, let me dream, Give me the night to dream, die young about the years Can’t dream, no dreams, can’t dream, not living if not wishing, Some confuse religion with superstition, Smiling confused with hiding sickness, Confuse living with slick rick, I ain’t slick, I’m just not into sharing, Not scripture but the Quran taught me truth, Allah (swc) got my heart on speed dial, Don’t thank me, don’t bless me, my prayers reach the millions nightly, My prayers match the tears falling, sand atoms count my blessings, Make history, tape and record, life repel, bug repellent, Take the evil a way, catch my tongue, I didn’t send a distress, I don’t regress, I walk not run, I sling not watch, I can’t be perfect but I can perfect my imperfection, Transgression, memorization, finger dipping, David (pbuh), Goliath my everyday struggles, I heard Esa (pbuh) talked as a baby, Heard hadiths by the thousands, peace be upon him from my lips daily, Read the Quran nightly, best friend, my book bedside, Allah (swc) became my only friend, I could disguise myself and still be found, Don’t let the truth fool you, religious people can fall 2, Side track, sideways, burning metallic license plates, Sacrificing his son I never read in the Quran or hadiths, I began 2 sacrifice my soul, prayer times, sweat dripping from the corner of eye lashes, Nails scratched the surface, paying bail to make the Adaan, Angels masking protection, flapping wings covering Muslims during Salat, Told at Jummah, the Angels write down the names of those who enter the Masjid, Reading in hadith, the miracles of the Angels helping us in battle, Were told in hadith, the Angels reminding us, we are your friends, 100 men, a murderer no doubt, Paradise was given, Allah (swc) is the most sincere and forgives, Hail Mary, hail not World War 2, I hailed a cab, got lost in translation, Bloody streets, kept hearing come with me, Can’t drop, can’t fall, hold not, sisters crying in bedrooms, Cutting, the suffering, women’s suffrage in the minds of the old, Masjid doors speak of trust in Allah (swc), everything will unveil just be patient, Everything will come in time, be patient, We are going 2 be tested, going to be handled with the utmost care, Not tested with what we can’t handle, just remember the strength Allah (swc) blew in your canvass, Were told 2 take care of the body, if one part hurts all the rest follows, Feeling pain, we feel one another without hesitation, We got brothers slinging rocks, afraid they can’t feed the family, We got Syrian women selling themselves on the street, Individual horror stories afraid of being fixed, Covering them up, afraid of getting our hands dirty as a community, We need 2 be honest, everyone has their own suffrage movement, Continuous poison, we can’t do it alone, Take it from the man who shields pain behind a closed exterior, Looking for help, nothing can hurt him, Been 2 the doctor, secretive missions, Afraid 2 speak the truth, were answering the same questions with dishonesty, Hiding pain, we need 2 let Muslims in, I had been told over and over, the first Ummah understood pain, The prophet (pbuh) had been struggling, I reply with an answer no one can answer, Did the prophet (pbuh) tell us 2 ignore each other’s pain purposely, Furthermore, purposely ignoring if we can help one another? I ain’t no Sheikh, I ain’t no leader, I got struggle on a first name basis, I got closets full of skeletons, know Depression hiding under my bed-set, Wounds covered clothes, this ain’t no blame poem, No “you shoulda’ did something” poem, I just gotta’ be honest, religious folks fall 2, We cry nightly, we bleed when scratched daily, We die when oxygen is taken un-wanted-ly, 2 the brothers afraid of speaking, hanging on by a thread, Got hurt, can’t tell a soul, hiding from the masjid, 2 the sisters hiding, got hurt by the same brother many times, Your thinking no one understands, thinking your all alone, I hear ya, I got you in my ear listening, Allah (swc) hears you, he can see ya’, He created ya’, if no one can help, Allah (swc) can always hold ya’, Allah (swc) listens all night and day without being disconnected, If you think you got no hope, look 2 the sky, We don’t need the Quran, we need a heart and a quiet place, Take my story, I was feeling helpless just a week ago, Diagnosed with a life threatening examination, Got 2 years to continue my grind, lost my friends when I came 2 Islam, Watched my parents die when I was young, Sister outta’ the house, Pops thought he was a man dressed as a Catholic priest, Religion doesn’t heal, but Allah (swc) always comforts, Take this poem, put it on your wall, read it daily, make dua 70 times a day, I hear you, I feel you, I understand you, Allah (swc) is listening.
