The NFL has become an embarrassment. My 13 year old son is watching the Pro Bowl tonight and I keep hearing his guffaws and commentary coming from the other room. Then theres the non-stop Deflategate coverage. Im no fan of the Pats, but I just dont believe there is any competitive advantage to a 15 ounce football being a little short on air pressure. If Goodell and the NFL had been on top of things, he should have said it was a minor rules infraction, fined the Pats $25k on Monday and put the whole thing to bed. After this circus, I dont know if I can even bring myself to watch the Super Bowl next week. Football is a great game, and Ive never been sick of playing it, watching it, reading about it, etc., but Ive about reached my breaking point, especially in the wake of Ray Rice, Richie Incognito, Aaron Hernandez, concussions and CTE, and on and on.
