The NWS has issued *Freezing Rain Advisories* (counties shaded in pink) and *Winter Weather Advisories* (counties shaded in purple). Specifics: Freezing Rain Advisory for Garrett County in MD from 9PM tonight until 11PM Tuesday night with less than 1/4 inch ice accrual. Freezing Rain Advisory for Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Clarion, Clearfield, Fayette, Forest, Greene, Indiana, Jefferson, Lawrence, Mercer, Venango, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties in PA from 7AM Tuesday until 1AM early Wednesday. Wintry mix to start with a change to freezing rain and drizzle. Less than 1 inch of snow and approximately 1/10 of an inch of ice accrual. Winter Weather Advisory for Allegany, Frederick, and Washington Counties in MD from 1AM Tuesday until 1AM Wednesday. Rain will transition to a mix of sleet and freezing rain with less than 1/10 of an inch of ice accrual. Winter Weather Advisory for Adams, Cameron, Centre, Cumberland, Dauphin, Elk, Franklin, Fulton, Huntingdon, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon, Mifflin, Perry, and York Counties in PA from 10AM Tuesday until 7AM Wednesday. Rain will change to light sleet and snow Tuesday morning.....and then transition to freezing rain and drizzle tomorrow afternoon and night. Total snow accumulations of around an inch with approximately 1/10 of an inch of ice accrual. As Ken mentioned earlier......this is more of a nuisance system than anything else.......however anytime theres ice involved pay attention to paved surfaces (black ice).....and sometimes its a good idea to cover your windshield with cardboard or some other material so youre not stuck doing a lot of scraping.
