The Nigerian traders finally took the Ghana government to the ECOWAS court because diplomatic measures failed to resolve the harsh position taken by Ghana government on them. The argument back and front has to do with the requirement for foreign nationals to trade in Ghana. While many Nigerian traders did not even meet the first criteria of $300,000.00, how much more the upgraded amount of $1 million? The ECOWAS court dismissed the case, Will the matter be taken to International Court of Justice? By now there should be a backup plan for this aggressive traders who are bent on violating national laws but obeying regional treaty all in the name of doing business.
