The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island will not be presenting Trick or Treat Under the Sea this year (October 2014). The Aquarium is excited to announce that it will be undergoing a major renovation beginning this Fall with anticipated completion by the end of June 2015. Access to exhibits will be limited at times and the Aquarium may be totally closed for a time in early 2015. Trick or Treat Under the Sea is considered to be the largest family-friendly Halloween event on the Outer Banks. The Aquarium, along with the kind participation of local businesses, has provided over 16,000 participants a fun, safe and secure Trick or Treat environment over the past 11 years. In 2013 the event, featuring treats, games and costume and scream contests, was expanded to two nights. The Aquarium looks forward to hosting area families at Trick or Treat Under the Sea 2015 in our newly-renovated, refreshed and improved exhibit space.
