The Oaks Extended Care Program The Oaks Extended care program, is an extension of The Oaks School. The aim of the program is to provide a safe and loving environment for students before and after school hours. The Fruits of the Spirit being the guiding principles for teachers and examples for our students. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5:22-23 During Extended care hours, students have their choice at centers, organized games, story time, crafts and free play. Morning care: Hours are 6:30-7:30 a.m. Teachers will be supervising students in K4A. Students who need to finish breakfast items will be allowed to do so at tables in class. Cost: The cost of morning care is $5.00 a day, for a student dropped off at any time before 7:30 a.m. Students will not be accepted before 6:30a.m. Students will be taken to their classrooms at the 7:45 school drop off time. Afternoon care: Hours are 2:15(K classes) 2:30(1st-5th) 2:45(6-8th)-6:00 p.m. Students attending Afternoon care will be brought to Afternoon care by teachers. Also, Afternoon care is the drop zone for parents picking up late. If a student is not picked up in car line, the supervising teacher will deliver students to Afternoon care. All students must be picked up by 6:00 p.m. Students may be picked up at the Ed building, playground near Ed building, the gym, the Middle School playground. Please be aware of sign posted in driveway for location of students. Cost: The cost of afternoon care is $5.00 an hour charged in quarter hours. The fee for picking up students after 6:00 p.m. will be $1.00 per minute. Payment will be added to monthly tuition payment.
