The One December 7, 2014 at 2:59am As I lay beside you, I lose the stress of the day. All of the negative feelings gently drift away. I feel your arms around me, your heartbeat matches mine. It is as if, we are a painting of the perfect place and time. Wrapped around each other, like ivy around a tree, bonded at the root and soul, this was meant to be. I feel your chest rise and fall, the softness of your skin, your face nestled into my back to feel the love within. We lay here in silence, no words to be said, the conversation comes, not from mouth, but, the way we cuddle in bed. We speak through our motions, through fingertips and touch, with a gentle gesture, you say “I love you this much...” Your eyes, they pierce through my walls and dive into my soul, they fill me with a ray of love and make my being whole. You run your fingers down my back, I quiver from your touch, I have never had a mate that made me feel this much. You stay patient, you stay true, you never cause me doubt. Yours is a love that I know, I could never be without. You fill my days with laughter, smiles and future plans, we talk for hours at a time, while grasping each other’s hand. I feel safe around you, you keep me strong and true, even when I’m not around, my mind’s focus stays on you. I can’t wait to see you, your face I truly miss, the face of my affection, the face I long to kiss. From your blue eyes, to your caring thoughts, from your smile to your nose, everything is beautiful, from your head down to your toes. I think about it often, I think about the date, the one that changed my life forever and gave me the perfect mate.
