The Opposition plays an integral part of democracy, as it stands for check and balance and due diligence for the ruling government. In fact the Oppositions members of parliament are also paid a substantial allowances and are entitled to privileges by the government. Whatever hate or grudge he has against my religion, it is up to God to decide in the afterlife. He was never a Muslim in the first place, so how can I blame him for his ignorance? As a practicing lawyer, of course he sees corporal punishment in the form of beheading or chopping of hands as uncivilized. Hes a kafeer living in a multi-racial country. What do we expect? Maybe we should blame ourselves in not endeavoring enough to convert him and make him see the light? That said, I pay respects and compliments for having fought to his last day for the under privileged and sometimes oppressed Malaysians. As a seasoned politician, I am sure even the irreplaceable Tun Dr M found him a formidable political foe and not a few times have they crossed swords. He is also a damn fine lawyer. One of the best. Lastly, to my Muslim friends who are on the roll bashing him on FB or WhatsApp, I urge you to take heed of this Hadith Riwayat al-Bukhari dan Muslim that emphasis on Rasulullahs humility : Once a funeral wake passed the Holy Prophet and Messenger of God, Muhammad (pbuh) and the Holy Prophet stood up to pay respect to the passing deceased. When he was informed that the deceased was a Jew, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) said :Yes..but wasnt he also a human being?
