The Oxford Downtown Council will host its second annual Summer Fest this Saturday, June 29th on the Square. The day will have a patriotic theme and will kick off with a sidewalk sale starting at 8am. Family friendly activities from 10am to 3pm will include a castle bounce ride, dunk tank with local celebrities, face painting, balloon artist and free popcorn, cotton candy and snow cones on the Courthouse lawn. All activities are free to the public besides the dunk tank, from which the $1 per throw funds raised will benefit the local Boys & Girls Club. The Council hopes to surpass last year’s dunk tank donation of $825 to the Boys & Girls Club. This year’s dunk tank participants include: · 10:30am – Wayne Andrews, Yoknapatawpha Arts Council · 11am Brian Harvey, Oxford School District · 11:30am – Matt Mott, Ole Miss Soccer Coach · 12pm – Jill Moore, Square Books Jr. · 12:30pm – Shaw Moore, FNB Oxford · 1pm – Fish Robinson, 1st Baptist · 1:30pm – Dave Smith, Regions Bank North Delta MS · 2pm - Michael Thompson, Ole Miss Athletics · 2:30pm – Cambino, Everybody’s Favorite Mustache Man
