The POTW results are in! It was another week of fierce competition for this award as their were many top performers on both sides of the ball. But after receiving much of the fan fare this week the Player of the Week for 6/30/13 is Matt Kardos of the Point Pirates! Kardos went on the road and tossed a complete game against the dominant Garden State Senators. Kardos handed the Sens only their 2nd loss of the season. He allowed only 7 base runners and yielded a single earned run to the Senators on their home turf in Toms River. It was a huge win for the Pirates, upsetting a top team, avoiding the sweep, and keeping themselves right in the mix for a playoff berth. Congrats Kardos and enjoy some free umps on us!
