The Party never deviated from Marxism-Leninism ideological theory People are seeking clarity on the attacks and misconceive statements in media about SACP members that are trained and drilled in Stalinist orientation. In the idea of SACP from its inception in 1921 was the Marxist-Lenin ideological orientation. In totality, the ideas were to provide a fully worked out theoretical basis for the struggle of the working class to attain a higher form of human society- socialism. The SACP conceptions of Marxism have been subsequently developed and enriched by the historical experience of the working class as the van guard Party. The fundamental ideas remain unshaken, providing a firm foundation for the labour movement today. Neither before, nor since the lifetime of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin have any superior, more truthful or scientific theories been advance to explain the movement of society hence the Party introduced the Mid Term Vision. The knowledge to equip the working class theoretically for the great historic task to overthrow capitalist class rule and socialist transformation of society. However I believe the Party is brave enough and understands the political dynamics between Joseph Stalin and Leon Trotsky in the Russia struggle. Subsequently in 1923 Vladimir Lenin wrote a letter which says ‘’Stalin is too rude, and this fault, entirely supportable in relations among us Communists, becomes insupportable in the office of General Secretary. Therefore, I propose to the comrades to find a way to remove Stalin from that position and appoint to it another man who in all respects differs from Stalin only in superiority – namely, patients, loyal, polite and attentive to comrades, less capricious, etc. This circumstance may seem an insignificant trifle, but I think that from the point of view of preventing a split and from the point of view of the relation between Stalin and Trotsky which he discussed above, it is not a trifle, or it is such a trifle as may acquire a decisive significance. The leadership of Stalin was not given blessing with Lenin to lead the Bolsheviks. Indeed there are many threats to our revolution. The most principal threat is that letting the capitalist class to continue its dominance of our state and economy, including through its main ideological weapon, the social networks and media entirely. Similarly there is fairly widespread understanding with the ranks of our movement that corruption and the capture of the state by tenderpreneurs would mark a massive defeat for the national democratic revolution, with possibly an end to our revolutionary alliance as we have known it. This brings us back to an important question of what is the national democratic revolution and what is the main content of this revolution at this point in time? The NDR is not a socialist revolution in waiting, but a terrain on which to the struggle for a momentum and the capacity for socialism in the here and now. Conceptualizing the NDR as a socialist revolution in waiting is tantamount to waiting for socialism to come like the Gautrain at a station. Rather than building working class power to deepen and consolidate that NDR revolution as our most direct route to socialism. The concept of SACP is a victory we need to build upon rather than to abandon it to the new tendency or the liberals. Furthermore Chairman Mao Tse-Tung was correct to say ‘’ without a Party built on the Marxist –Leninist revolutionary theory, it is impossible to lead the working class and the broad masses of the people in defeating imperialism and its running dogs.’’ Thabang Maseko Eastern Cape Young Communist League, Spokesperson
