The Patriotic Front Leadership in Mufumbwe District of North Western Province is fighting over the abuse of Constituency Development Funds for the year 2012. PF Mufumbwe district Political Secretary Christopher Kajilo accuses CDF committee members of having recklessly purchased a second hand ambulance at K130,000 but the Pajero lasted only for three days. This is contained in a confidential letter of complaint addressed to the Provincial Local Government officer for Northwestern Province. Kajilo accuses CDF chairperson Peter Kalundu awarded himself a tender to construct a 1 by 2 classroom block but did shoddy work and was asked to refund K 32,000 that he has not done. Further the confidential letter copied to Local government Minister and the Provincial Political Secretary reveals that money meant for the construction of the bridge and a mother’s shelter has also been misused and cement stolen by CDF officials. But as is the case with all PF characters from their leader to the lowest cadre, the issue here is not really ther hate for corruption but fighting for position and therefore access to the funds.
