The Personal Side of Jesus‟ Messiahship ::: ... Tells us if You are the Messiah, the Son of God.‟” Matthew 26:63 “So Jesus replied .......„Yes, it is as you say.‟” Matthew 26:64a This claim – that Jesus is Jehovah God in human flesh is the single most important claim in Bible. The entire Christian faith rises or falls on Jesus‟ claim that He is the divine Messiah of Israel and God wrapped in human flesh. The True Identity of Jesus Christ ::: #1 – Jesus Christ is the Lord and owner of the entire cosmos #2 – He deserves every bit of worship and devotion that our lives can produce #3 – He is the center of the universe – not you or me! #4 – His death on the cross is different than any death that has ever happened in the history of the world #5 – The plan of salvation He offers us by His death on the cross is the one true way to get to heaven Because of who the Lord Jesus is, it also means that we have the most powerful being in the universe to help us with our struggles and our problems. “Therefore, let us come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace to help us in our time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 “Cast all your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7 When we take our problems to the Risen Christ, not only does He really care about them – but because of who He is – He‟s also powerful enough to do something about them! #1 – God cares about even the smallest problems of our lives and He wants us to bring them to Him. #2 – There is no problem we will ever bring to God that is too tough for Him to handle. As followers of Christ, one of the biggest mistakes we make is that (so often) we fail to bring our problems and struggles to God‟s throne of grace. Let God show you how deeply He cares for you. Let God intervene in the affairs of this world for you. This is our birthright as adopted children of the divine, resurrected Messiah! Talk About It ::: What things in my life am I trying to handle on my own instead of bringing them to God‟s throne of grace.
