The Piedmont Kennel Club is hosting a Scent Work seminar at the Piedmont Kennel Club 13607 Choate Circle Charlotte NC 28273 On March 14 & 15 2015 Instructors: Sue Conklin – Owner/Trainer at The Puppy Nanny LLC – Sue Has over 18 years experience training dogs and teaching people. She is the owner and head trainer at The Puppy Nanny’s Place in Simpsonville SC where her students can take classes in Nose Work, Agility, Rally, Conformation and more. She currently is training 2 dogs for Nose Work. Brody, a 10 yr old Border Collie, and Loretta, a 5 month old Beagle. Allison Andrews CPDT-KA – Owner/Trainer at Foothill Canine Academy – Allison is a graduate of the Animal Behavior College and the All Dog’s Academy Instructor Training Course. Her main focus has been on Scent Work and she has trained with many professional scent detection trainers in the United States. And she has found success using positive methods that best work for the specific individual dog and handler. Allison’s diverse knowledge and patient teaching style has her students and dogs seeing winning results at trials. The second group will be for more experienced teams. This group will help with more specific problem solving for teams. If you need help with working an ORT. leash handling, or problem solving (pawing at boxes or hides, crittering) , this group will address those issues and more.
