The “Pompous” Zambia Skipper, Katongo, Chased from Chipolopolo Camp The false sense of unity in the national team has finally blown out with coach Honour Janza ejecting national team captain Christopher Katongo. According to bolazambia sources in Ndola Katongo was shown the door for alleged indiscipline in the wake of the 0-all draw away to Niger on Saturday. Katongo who has been leading a faction within the team is said to have made unsavoury comments about the coach’s tactics. The long serving skipper openly said on the plane enroute to Ndola that as far as he was concerned he never played in the 0-all draw as he could do nothing in five minutes. He came on as a substitute for Chisamba Lungu and did not take kindly. Janza has been struggling to keep a tight ship with camps slowly becoming the norm in the team threatening the power balance. Zambia plays Niger on Wednesday in Ndola and will have to win to retain some chance of qualification. A poor start to the campaign has piled pressure on the team that has only managed two points in three matches.
