The Pound Pals family is one less today. We first met Lucky in 2013. He had been dumped by his owner at 13 years old. He was devastated and confused in the shelter environment. Fortunately for Lucky, we had a transport in route to pick up another senior at this high kill facility. As an owner surrender, Lucky had no hold period and was going to be killed right away. Lucky boarded our transport on that fateful day and was whisk away to his foster home. It has been a little over a year since Lucky joined the Pound Pals family. Today was almost like any other day for Lucky. He woke up and went about his usual morning routine. He settled in his bed for his usual afternoon nap and drifted across the bridge. Our hearts go out to Lucky and his foster family. RIP Lucky. You will be missed on this side of the bridge. :(
