The President General of the Youth Wing of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony and I Comrade Rex Ekiugbo Anighoro the Secretary General of the organisation visited Ghana on the occasion of the Urhobo Cultural day Celebration and Inauguration of New Executive Committee Members of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Ghana. While in Ghana the President General of Urhobo youths took time to address Youths of Urhobo Nation in Ghana meeting privately with various prominent Urhobo Youths in Ghana including popular Musician Tony Harmony who is releasing an album, we have endorsed. The President General and i were well hosted by a prominent Urhobo Youth Prince Emiko Oke who treated us with the Exclusive Executive touch nor be small Ukodo We eat. At the Main Event in delivering his speech Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony made very strong statement and respectfully but firmly repudiated suggestions by Dr. Godwin Oradaghvwe one of the guest speakers that Urhobo should look beyond the Governorship pursuit and begin to negotiate for vital offices and positions in Government instead of going to the opposition. This we considered as a subtle but very potent Anti Uvwiamughes declaration statement. Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony also vehemently condemned the endorsement of Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa by an Urhobo Youth group stating that no group have the Authority to Speak on behalf of Urhobo Youths except the Youth Wing of UPU. He also stated that Urhobo Youths must stand up to ensure that Ighoyota Amori, Evelyn Oboro and Monday Igbuya amongst others do not win their respective elections in 2015. Comrade Igho Ovie Anthony called on Urhobo Nation to stand by Olorogun Great Ogboru and Olorogun Otega Emerhor but called on both of them to be ready to step down for one and other in the greater interest of Urhobo Nation. TO THIS EXTENT AN INTERACTIVE EVENT SHALL BE HELD FOR OTEGA EMERHOR AND GREAT OGBORU SEPERATELY TO ENABLE URHOBO YOUTHS MEET WITH THEM ONE ON ONE. THIS WILL HELP US DECIDE THE WAY FORWARD. My Dear Compatriots, May I on behalf of the over One million indefatigable and indomitable youths of the Nation of Urhobo convey to you profound fraternal felicitations. I count it a great blessing to be here in Ghana to be amongst my very dear hard working compatriots of Urhobo Nation whom history beckons on today as they get inaugurated as the New Executive Members of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Ghana. Let me heartily congratulate you all on this auspicious occasion of your conferment with this sacred responsibility of recrafting a road map for the Citizens of Urhobo Nation here in the Gold Coast Republic. This is a higher call to duty an uncommon honor and an opportunity to radically advance posterity. I must pay glowing tributes to the pragmatic and visionary leadership of Olorogun (Engr. ) Joseph Orode Omene, President General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide whom alongside Members of his Executive Council have painstakingly repositioned Urhobo Nation to taking its rightful and pride of place as clear leaders in the Nigerian Federation. In a similar event just fifteen days ago precisely on Thursday 27th of November 2014, the Ukoko Re Ighelle Urhobo also known as the Youth Wing of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide was appointed and inaugurated to function in an interim capacity by the President General of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Worldwide Olorogun J.O Omene and today we are here witnessing another epoch inauguration. At our inauguration we were clearly given the marching orders to Coordinate, work and put in structures that will see to the actualization of the UVWIAMUGHES DECLARATION. The Uvwiamughes declaration which today is the Urhobo Nation Mass weapon of constructive engagement and advancing its Common wealth unambiguously demands that an Urhobo should as a matter of Justice, Equity and much more contribution to the collective good of Delta State and Nigeria become the next Governor of Delta State in 2015 and as such will vote only for the party that will give Urhobo its Gubernatorial Ticket even at the National level. We as the youths of Urhobo Nation are the foot solidiers, the carriers and drivers of this revolutionary vision to extricate Urhobo Nation from the strategic and systematic conspiracy, gang-ups from the balkanization of it Social Cultural Economic and Political Capital. It is my hope that Urhobo Progess Union, (UPU) Ghana will key into this Struggle and galvanize Urhobo Youths and Delta Youths here in Ghana to supporting the Urhobo Governorship project. This is a task that must be done. I hereby call on all Youths of Urhobo Nation here in Ghana to embrace the Urhobo Progress Union ( UPU) key into her programmes and projects know as never again shall it be business as Usual, as never again shall we the youths allow Urhobo to be undermined made to be the minority in a State where we are the clear majority. May I use this medium to state clearly that Urhobo Youths have not endorse any Governorship Candidate and certainly when that will be done it shall not a Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa who seem to be sponsorship Urhobo Youth groups to endorse him. We wish to state that no Youth group have the authority and legitimacy to speak on behalf of the Urhobo Nation except the Youth Wing of Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) which I lead . We hereby disclaim and Condemn in very strong terms the irresponsible, despicable and ignoble the endorsement of Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa credited to the leadership of Urhobo Youth Leaders Association (UYLA), we call on them to retrace their steps and toe the part of honor and integrity by standing firmly for the Uvwiamughes declaration. We also call on Urhobos not make suggestions of compromise we must shun the proclivity of becoming reactionary elements and betrayers of a struggle we ought to protect, let us shun the profanity of Esau in the Interest of Urhobo collective good. In the same vain we the youths of Urhobo Nation hereby advise Senator Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa and his moles in Urhobo Nation to desist from their polarising antics as we shall resist them where necessary. May I also state that we the Youths of Urhobo Nation shall work assiduously to ensure that Monday Igbuya, Evelyn Oboro and Ighoyota Amori amongst others who have worked against the interest of the Urhobo Nation during the Monday 8th, December 2014 People Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial primaries fail in their various elections. All those who work against Urhobo Nation must fail their elections and Urhobo youths must rise up and unite, Urhobo youths in Ghana must not be indifferent they must key in and involve in this collective self determination struggle for the very survival and existence of the Urhobo Nation We call on Urhobo Youths to arise, let us go to War and Fight for Urhobo Freedom, we must not stay in the middle of compromise, it is either we win or we lose, we must not capitulate, We must defend Uvwiamughes declaration by very means necessary, it must be an Urhobo for Governorship of Delta in 2015 or nothing. Finally we call on Olorogun Great Ogboru and Olorogun Otega Emerhor to stand up for Urhobo cause, if need be one of them should step down for the other in the greater interest of Urhobo, the two of them must reach a common ground, we must not miss this chance. I call on Urhobo Progress Union (UPU) Ghana to join very strongly in this fight, let us set aside our personal interest and unite for Urhobo, for it is now or never, I restate and reaffirm once again that Urhobo Governorship of Delta State in 2015 is non negotiable.
