The President has continually called for an all-of-the-above energy strategy, and the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline will further assist this goal. After five years of rigorous environmental tests, the State Department has confirmed what we have known for years, the Keystone XL pipeline would have minimal impact on the environment. The pipeline is supported by industry, labor unions, Republicans, and Democrats because it would create thousands of jobs. If President Obama truly wants to stand up for the unemployed and American energy independence he will stop playing politics and approve the Keystone XL pipeline immediately.
