The President’s #cybersecurity proposals for more timely consumer notification when financial information is hacked or stolen, and to identify and prevent identity theft, represent solid steps forward, but there is more we should be doing. Constant innovation in payment card security is essential, yet American card issuers and financial firms continue to drag their feet.
