The Principles of Biblical Leadership: Proverbs 29:18 says, "Where there is no vision [no redemptive revelation of God], the people perish; but he who keeps the law [of God, which includes that of man] - blessed, (happy, fortunate, and enviable) is he." God has a vision for every one of us to follow. This vision is a plan and a destiny God has for each of us. God wants us to embrace the vision that He has for us. God reveals His plan to us in due season for us to pursue it. We must have short term goals that lead to the vision God has for us. We need a mental picture of where God is wanting us to be. We must be willing to pursue the vision that God has given us. Think about it: many are called, but few are chosen. Many, in fact all, have been given a vision (called); but, few are willing to pursue (chosen). Many are not willing to lay down their lives for the sake of the call (vision). Foe example, I was called 2 years ago to be an Evangelist/ Minister; I was given the choice to pursue the vision that God has given me, or turn away from it. Through the grace of God, I chose to embrace the call on my life and pursue what God wants and has destined for my life. I am now a licensed Minister and Evangelist; going to school for a Masters in Pastoral and Leadership and possibly going for a Doctoral Degree in Ministry. I chose and still choose to pursue what God has called me to do. Without a vision, we remain in the same rut that we have been in; we have the choice to embrace our God-given vision and destiny, or we can choose to walk away and remain in the same old lifestyle, going around the same mountain. The choice is yours! What are you going to do about it? Prayer ~~ Lord, help us to accept and embrace the vision, the destiny, amen
