The Private Treaty now re-branded as Brand Capital is something which the largest media house in India,the Bennett Coleman & co. ltd, (otherwise knows as The Times Group) has always fought about. The media house enters into a long term financial and marketing partnership with corporate companies who reward them with company shares. In turn for the media here after, would not write even a single word which would cause them negative reputation. Once the media house owns the shares, it becomes their vested interest to print glossy pictures of these companies and to help them during crisis. Now. the reason as to why a collective decision was made by the media houses not to use the word recession anywhere during the 2008 financial crisis can be guessed. Instead the word being excessively used was slow down. Yes it is their duty not to pull the share values of these companies down and not dig their own grave. Obviously the Fourth estate is the Real Estate #PaidNews
